Hormone Therapy

EvexiPEL is a Bio-Identical form of hormone therapy that is used to help return the hormone balance to optimized levels in both male and female patients. Bio-identical is a term used regarding the pellets that are inserted into the patient. This simply means that these pellets are an exact replication of what the body makes in contrast to synthetic hormones!

Benefits
- HRT with pellet implants is the most effective method to deliver hormones in both men and women.
- Pellets are made of either testosterone or estradiol and are all-natural.
- They are larger than a grain of rice and smaller than a tic tac.
- Pellets are inserted in the lower hip area through a small incision which is taped closed.
- They last on average 4 months for females and 5 months for males.
Q&A:
How do I know if I am a candidate for pellets?
A patient who is undergoing symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood swings, fatigue, lack of energy, joint pain, sleeplessness and night sweating may be undergoing these symptoms due to a hormonal imbalance. We begin our patients with a simple Symptom Check list and a lab slip to have blood work done which determines your hormone levels. After lab work is completed, your doctor will review the results and determine whether you are a suitable candidate and potentially schedule your following appointment for a consultation and insertion.
How are the hormones administered?
Your practitioner will implant a pellet in the dermas of the upper hip (or above the belt). A small incision is made, and the pellets are inserted. No stitches are required for this treatment as the pellets are smaller than a grain of rice! These pellets are also plant based and all-natural.
How long does this treatment last?
Hormone therapy typically lasts around 3-6 months depending on each patient. Your doctor will determine what is the right time length for you. The absorption rate is based off of a patients cardiac output.
Do I have blood work done before each treatment?
The answer is no! You will only need blood work for your initial lab results and then 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment to set your dosing. You may have blood work done again if there are significant changes to your weight, lifestyle, etc. It is also suggested that a full lab be done annually.
