What Are Peptides?
Peptides occur naturally throughout the body. Hormones, neurotransmitters, and many of the compounds your body uses to regulate itself are, at a molecular level, peptides. The peptides used in therapeutic medicine are either naturally occurring sequences or carefully designed variants that target specific biological pathways.
When delivered at therapeutic doses under physician supervision, peptides can produce meaningful, targeted effects without the systemic side effects often associated with conventional pharmaceuticals or anabolic hormones.
The field has grown significantly over the past decade. Research continues to expand, and the clinical applications for peptide therapy are becoming better understood with each passing year.
